Why the asterisk?

Unlimited plans do not have a capped total data allowance for your trip. Instead, each day you receive 3 GB of high-speed data, enough for streaming, social media, navigation and video calls for most travellers. If your daily high-speed allowance has been used, your connection continues at speeds of up to 1 Mbps, allowing you to keep using messaging, maps, email and web browsing. Your 3 GB high-speed allowance is automatically restored each day.
